Black Hole creator Charles Burns crafted this bizarre/amazing cover for The Believer’s new “art issue.” The more we stare at it, the more it speaks to us.

Thanks so much to The Believer for sending us the ultra-high-res version of their cover, which I don’t believe has appeared anyplace else yet. Inside, there’s a “semi-erotic fold-out paper sculpture.” The issue also includes a “Declaration on the Notion of ‘The Future'” by The International Necronautical Society, which you can read online. And there’s writing about art (and music) by the likes of Ed Lin, Greil Marcus and Avi Davis, plus interviews with Claire Rojas and Michael Light. More details about the issue at the link.
