This Friday—Black Friday—is the one day a year where there’s a really great chance you come away with a stupid good steal. And if you’re going to brave the crowds and go hunting for sales, there’s only one map you need. Check out our Amazingly Complete Black Friday Cheatsheet here and you’ll be the most informed shopper in the mobs.

If you’re not planning to fight the crowd and instead buy from the comfort of your own computer, here’s a little secret: the online sales have already started. Of course, there’s going to be a bunch of opportunities on Cyber Monday and we’re going to be doing another Amazingly Complete Cheatsheet, but for a lot of items, now is as good a time as ever to buy.

Take these two Android tablets. Amazon’s selling the 10-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 for only $300 right now. It could sell out any minute, though. It’s sold out! Newegg still has it for $300. And Walmart is stepping up with the ASUS Transformer Prime for only $299 as well—which is a damn good deal, considering you rarely see this nerd-worshiped tablet under $450. Sure, you might be able to squeak a deal this nice in a crowded big box store, but if copping savings like this is as easy as clicking and waiting, why wouldn’t you? [Amazon, Walmart]

Some stores are giving free stuff to the first people into their stores on Black Friday, but I’d never recommend someone miss Thanksgiving dinner for a retail promotion.
