Can a porn “parody” of a science fiction classic have reasonably good acting, nice special effects, and a plot that you could give a crap about? That’s the real final frontier.
The two Star Trek porn parodies that came out last year, despite the presence of marquee names like Sasha Grey, did not succeed in making you give two strips of latinum about the plot or story — but judging from the trailer, Star Trek: The Next Generation XXX just might. Watching Data reunited with Tasha Yar is actually quite sweet, and then there’s the shocking revelation that she’s… emitting tachyons at a steady rate. Oh noes! It’s the sort of plot twist the actual TNG would have made into a big deal, too, and it’s nice that these porn-makers aren’t trying to talk down to us too much.
