If you’re decorating your living room in the style of the 1950’s, the Crosley Explorer 1 may be for you. Named after a NASA shuttle satellite of the same name (thanks for the correction emails), the Explorer 1 looks like an ancient radio from the ’50s, but on the inside, it’s a fancy XM satellite radio. Not only that, it houses three speakers and a ported bass design. It plays AM/FM/XM radio, CDs, MP3s, has 18 presets, dual alarms, a headphone and auxially input jack, EQ controls, and battery backup. Costs a pricey $400 (not including the monthly XM radio fees). Available in 2006.
