Bad news for Ghostbusters fans: everyone’s top picks to direct Ghostbuster 3 — Phil Lord And Chris Millerof The LEGO Movie fame — have allegedly turned down the project.

Sad. But don’t get too upset — rumor has it Miller and Lord walked away from The LEGO Movie until they got what they wanted, so maybe they are just playing hard to get. It’s such a beloved franchise, we can’t imagine them making this movie without having total control over the project.
It’s too much to hope that this project will never see the light of day. But we’re bummed because if anyone was going to do it, we were hoping it would be Lord and Miller.
