The way a surfer carves a line in the face of a wave is a single flow, as dynamic as the shape of rolling water itself. Russell Crotty has been sketching wave/rider relationships, one fraction of a second per frame.
Some of the ball point pen drawn canvases include 40k cells at over 10x20 feet large. All to capture what is essentially a few seconds of a line on a water, cut by man.
