A surprise to no one, Disney is developing a Frozen musical. Does this mean our dreams of hearing Idina Menzel perform “Let it Go” live could come true? Perhaps.
In an interview with Fortune, Walt Disney CEO and Chairman Bob Iger confirmed that Disney is in discussions to develop a show on the recent movie, though there is no set time frame. The music was penned by the same folks behind The Book of Mormon and Avenue Q, but this is really no huge surprise. The whole movie plays out more like a Broadway show and less like an old-time Disney fairy story. Fingers crossed for snowflakes and living snowmen in real life.
