Io9 2025 Spoiler

Anything But Ghosts

According to Deadline, Bryce Dallas Howard has joined the cast of Curry Barker’s Anything But Ghosts.

Bond 26

Take this with a grain of salt, but according to an entirely anecdotal report from The Telegraph Steven Knight’s script for a 26th James Bond movie is “nowhere near ready,” leaving Amazon MGM Studios “fed up with even thinking about 007’s future.”

Disclosure Day

Screen Rant has a new image revealing more of an alien’s head in Disclosure Day, which Bloody-Disgusting reports received a PG-13 rating for “action/violence, some bloody images, and strong language.”

Liminal/Violent Night 2

Bloody-Disgusting also reports Liminal and Violent Night 2 have both been rated “R” for the exact same reason: “language and some violent content/bloody images.”

Mortal Kombat II

Karl Urban’s Johnny Cage boasts he has a Saturn Award to Adeline Rudolph’s Kitana in a new clip from Mortal Kombat II.

Casper

Deadline reports a live-action TV series based on Casper the Friendly Ghost is now in development at Disney+ from producer Steven Spielberg and Goosebumps (2023) showrunner’s Rob Letterman and Hilary Winston. Though there are currently “no details yet” about the new Casper, the series is described as “a modern update on the classic ghost story” believed “to have a dark edge to it the way Wednesday tackles the Addams Family lore.”

Vought Rising/Gen V

In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Eric Kripke suggested the upcoming Vought Rising could integrate story ideas from the unproduced third season of the recently canceled Gen V.

It’s very early days, because we’re focusing on getting Vought Rising out into the world, but Amazon has expressed an interest and they want to hear more potential stories in the world. So, we’re internally brainstorming a couple different ideas. We’ll see which ones get traction, but they all have the opportunity to absorb at least some of the Gen V gang, and that’s very much by design. We’re still hopeful we can find a way to do it. So, unfortunately, I can’t share it.

This idea that Marie is powerful, but that’s not the end of her story. She has to learn how to control it. I did not cancel the show. One, I don’t have the power to do that. Two, I was fighting to keep the show, almost more than anybody else on Earth. So I’m as bummed as everybody else out there.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Screen Rant also has this new image of Una Chin-Riley, La’an Noonien-Singh, and Erica Ortegas from the fourth season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

Ghosts

Spoiler TV has a synopsis for “Polar Opposites,” the May 14 episode of Ghosts. Head over there for images.

When a Hollywood producer comes to scout Woodstone as a filming location, Sam is prompted to take a creative leap that draws unexpected support from the ghosts. Meanwhile, changing roles among the ghosts spark a heartfelt effort to honor someone special.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters

Finally, Kurt Russell and Mari Yamamoto escape from a stampede of giant, caterpillar-like insects in a clip from this week’s season finale of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters
