Irina Alexandru's design is more of a coat hanger than a closet, but it's intended to allow for the maximum amount of clothing hangers in the smallest amount of space. I just plain like the curvy double helix design.


For those who are having flashbacks to biology class: Yes, a double-helix is actually nature's clever way of squeezing a heck of a lot of genetic information into a tiny coiled pattern. It's somehow almost fitting that the same design would make for efficient clothing storage, too. [Core77]

Attractive yes, but also functional. Varying lengths of clothes can be hung on it to maximize space AND the design lets you better see whats there when making the all important, highly vital and totally day impacting choice of "What shall I wear today....."
