After six years, the anime adaptation of Q Hayashida’s Dorohedoro is finally coming back with new episodes starting Wednesday, April 1.

It’s been MIA since 2020 when the first season ended and a set of OVAs came out with its Blu-Ray. Mappa’s been pretty busy lately, but the studio sure hasn’t forgotten the well-liked, “globally anticipated shocking masterpiece.” Caiman’s broke and needs a job, but he thinks he’s fine not knowing about his past life…but his past life isn’t exactly done with him. The Cross-Eyes Gang makes their anime debut, and they’ve sent out several of their high-ranking officers, like Tetsugo and Dokuga, to find him in the city of Hole.

If that weren’t enough, there’s more good news for the longtime Dorohedoro fans: the anime’s now gradually expanding to more worldwide platforms after it’s been locked to Netflix and Crunchyroll. The second season will hit those other streamers “almost simultaneously” with Netflix and Crunchyroll, with more information to be revealed in teh coming weeks. (At time of writing, French site ADN has just added the season one premiere.) For those interested in the show, this rollout makes for a good chance to see what all the fuss about—and if it hits with you, maybe check out Hayashida’s sci-fi manga series Dai Dark.
