Evergreen has a very, very cheap portable DVD player coming out called the “EG-D540.” For roughly 20,000 yen, you will get a DVD player with support for a multitude of formats including DivX and XviD, a 5 inch LCD, 2.5 hour battery life, and even coaxial digital output. How low are these things really going to go? They’re already well below the PSP.
