Everyone. The titular huntsman, Eric (Chris Hemsworth), tells us his plan is the worst. The evil queen Ravenna (Charlize Theron) has clearly made a miscalculation about her sister Freya (Emily Blunt). And Freya’s got a plan of raising child soldiers that seems doomed to fail.
This trailer reveals that the plot against Snow White isn’t the first time that Ravenna has attacked a child for their eventual beauty. The mirror tells Ravenna that Freya will have a child more beautiful than her, and that if anything happens to the child, Freya’s powers will be unleashed.
It looks like that warning does nothing, since there’s a burnt-out cradle, and Freya becomes the Ice Queen who decides to raise a bunch of “hunters” from childhood. And she forbids love, which is also a terrible plan.
Admittedly, we don’t actually find out what Eric’s plan is, but it leads to him lying in pain on a roof, so it can’t be great. No one in this movie appears to have thought anything through.
