Chances are you’re familiar with Banksy, the never-visible face of modern day street art. As awesome as Banksy’s art can be, the secretive underground scene he runs in is even more interesting. Exit Through the Gift Shop provides a rarely candid look into what is probably the coolest illegal operation around.
Aside from featuring a run-down of graffiti logistics that involve running around like a masked super hero/villain, the film is populated by some wildly creative and half-insane artists like the delightfully half-cocked Mr Brainwash. This documentary has been around for a while, but that only makes it all the more egregious if you haven’t seen it yet. Get ready to wish you were pals with some artistic outlaws. Oh and Banksy?
