Expat Ad Agency Crams English Cottage Inside Its Office

Take a quick look around the offices of Bartle Bogle Hegarty, and you might think you missed your plane to Shanghai. Rooms ripped straight from a meticulous English household offer a respite for the homesick, and commentary on Shanghai's boom.

BBH hopes the cottage cross-section will serve as a "catalyst for social commentary," though at the very least it will add a visually daring juxtaposition to the rest of the office environs.

The partial-completion motif extends beyond the sliced rooms, as seen in exposed pipes along the walls, unfinished floors, and swaths of particleboard.

The result is a captivating balance between the raw and the refined—and what must be (at first) a somewhat distracting place to sit down and try to work. [CoDesign]
