It's Monster Thunderdome! In Monster Brawl, Frankenstein, Witch Bitch, and Kevin Nash enter a monster wrestling match...TO THE DEATH! And if you thought Saw was too light on the "people-doing-horrible-shit-to-each-other" action, have we got a movie for you!

Monster Brawl

I feel like I've been waiting for most of my life (or at least ever since claymation sensation series Celebrity Deathmatch). A gaggle of forgotten MMA fighters and wrestlers have rounded up all monsters of the world for the ultimate monster brawl to the death! Seriously, it's monsters wrestling, so yeah we're in. Also, it sounds like this trailer is narrated Lance Henriksen, which only gets us more excited.

Eight legendary monsters pitted against each other in a fight to the death to determine the most powerful monster of all time. Starring Dave Foley (Kids in the Hall), Robert Maillet (300, Sherlock Holmes), Art Hindle (Porky's, The Brood), Herb Dean (MMA Referee), Jimmy Hart "The Mouth of the South", with Kevin Nash (The Punisher), and featuring the voice of Lance Henriksen (Aliens). It's the Ultimate Fight of the Living Dead!

For more information on Monster Brawl check out their website. The next screening will be at the Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal!

Ever wish Saw was a bit more torture-porn heavy? Done. Check out the revolting video for Vile. This is a seriously "vile" movie. And I will watch the hell out of it (in between the fingers clawing at my face of course). Here's the basic premise, a group of people basically have to torture themselves (or each other) enough to get out of their prison. It gets messy:

Fifty years ago Yale University professor Stanley Milgram held a series of social experiments based on Nazi war criminals' psychology. They were devised to answer a simple question; how far are people willing to go when instructed by authority?

Nick, his girlfriend Tayler and their two best friends are about to find out. Abducted after a camping trip, they wake up in an unknown prison with two vials wired into the base of their skulls. They are not alone: another four people are in the same nightmare predicament. Their task, set by a mysterious video figure, is to fill the vials with chemicals the brain produces under extreme pain. Who will become leader of the pack and who will be first to suffer the excruciating agonies they must devise themselves within the 22-hour time limit?

Aliens Vs. Avatars

Many thanks to Quiet Earth for pointing out this gem — it's Predators Versus James Cameron's Avatar. Or something! We're not sure. Look, shut up and eat your awesome blue people fighting other movie aliens.

A race of creatures known as the Scythe have become a plague in the universe. Cunning and powerful foes, they possess the ability to transform into anything from which they have consumed DNA. On a mission to stop the plague that her people unleashed, a beautiful alien named Ava has followed the Scythe to Earth.

Meanwhile, six college friends blowing off steam on a camping trip find themselves caught up in a cat and mouse hunt with the Scythe. Not knowing what to do or whom to trust, they struggle to protect themselves and keep it together. Reluctantly joining forces with Ava, they quickly learn what they are up against. Can they defeat the Scythe before it slaughters them one by one?

The End

Lil' Bruce Wayne from Batman Begins (Gus Lewis) and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets wee Gabrielle Delacour (Angelica Mandy) are all grown up and making movies about the the apocalypse! This project called The End begins with the end of days (natch). The trailer below doesn't really spoil how humanity's going to vamoose exactly, but if you head over to their Kickstarter page you can see some excellent concept art for some sort of demon invasion (with a shark with a saddle). It's a pretty ambitious project, but we like the two leads and we're ready to see some sort of apocalypse that's a little more Revelations, a lot less nuclear-bombs-go-boom (so go give them some cash)! Here's the trailer below:

Check out this fun little short. It's channeling a little Blade Runner. Not 100% sure why the kids wanted to bust into the building in the first place, but the FX are pretty slick.

Web Series

Nuclear Family

It's been a long time since we saw a web series we were actually giddy about, and Nuclear Family might be it. First off, it stars the fella from Parker Lewis Can't Lose (Corin Nemec) and a creepy cult leader Ray Wise! Here's the basic premise — the world ends and the fun starts. It's pretty interesting that no one is sick, which Wise points it out in the trailer below.

Nuclear Family tells the story of a young couple, John & Lynn, who are trying to survive in the woods after a nuclear holocaust. They stay on the move with their 11-year old daughter Pauline... all the while searching for their missing 8-year old son, Grant. Meanwhile, society has disintegrated and the family must stay one step ahead of the Berserkers: lawless, wild, brutal men who rape, pillage, & destroy as a way of life (lead by a sadistic figure called The Man: Ray Wise).
