Despite all the talk of missing ship dates and possible delays, the Microsoft Vista team has gotten their OS gold. *clap clap* Good for you guys.
Windows chief Jim Allchin posted a cryptic message this morning to his blog that read, “It’s time,” signifying either Windows has gone gold or he was about to be party to only the 2nd male birth in the history of humanity (the first re-won his Governorship last night).
Although consumers won’t be able to get their hands on the new OS until January 30, 2007 (just confirmed by Microsoft), corporate customers and internet pirates will be sitting pretty long before then.
