Check out the latest trailer for the Miyazaki-produced and written film — The Borrowers Arrietty — which was inspired by Mary Norton’s fantasy book filled with tiny people.

The Borrower Arrietty

Mary Norton’s fantasy novel has inspired Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli to bring the little world of The Borrowers to life. Although Miyazaki isn’t directing, the key animator of Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away, Hiromasa Yonebayashi is helming the project. And we clearly already respect the heck out of Yonebayashi’s work. Check out these two teaser trailers.

Now, I know this film is going to be world’s above the 80s cartoon, but doesn’t it make you want to pop in a few episodes of The Littles or the live-action version from 1997?

The Familiar

Here’s a fun little Buffy-esque short that gives us a better look into the lives of the familiars. You know a vampire bitch! Quiet Earth gave it a pretty stellar review, and while we have only seen this trailer, we encourage you to seek out this little gem at your next movie fest.
