Gizmodo editorial changes

Reading time 1 minute

So, as you may have noticed, Gizmodo has been on a hiatus the last few days. Apologies. Pete Rojas, the site’s founding editor, is leaving this week to work on other projects. Pete wasn’t just a pioneer commercial blogger. As a geek in hipster clothing, he knew that gadgets were more than a collection of technical specificiations. They could be fashion items. Taking over where Pete left off: Joel Johnson and a series of guest stars.

The first, starting this Friday, is Brendan Koerner [see pic]. Brendan is contributing editor to Wired, Mr. Roboto columnist for the Village Voice, and Explainer columnist for Slate. His recent magazine features include a Wired piece on Intel s sensor-net research. In November of 2002, the Columbia Journalism Review named him one of its Ten Young Writers on the Rise.

Pete can be reached at pete at peterrojas.com. We have a new address for tips, the old mailbox being clogged with spam. Send links, announcements and story ideas to [email protected].
