The Google Voice app for Android got a significant update today, unveiling a fancy UI facelift for Honeycomb and Ice Cream Sandwich and finally implementing offline SMS queueing.

The offline SMS queueing features means you’ll be able to compose and save messages when you don’t have a mobile connection. Once you emerge from whatever signal-free hole you’re stuck in, they’ll be sent off to some lucky recipient. Aesthetically, the updated look of the app is more inline with Android 4.0, which you’ll love if you’re actually lucky enough to have Ice Cream Sandwich on your mobile device. And Android tablet owners will also be happy to hear that the app will look much better in Honeycomb. [Google Voice]
