Once you’ve played a female reincarnation of a villainous Time Lord, there’s really nowhere to go but down... all the way down to hell, that is. Michelle Gomez, who played Missy on Doctor Who, will be inhabiting a new creature of evil as Madam Satan on Netflix’s The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina series.

According to Variety, Gomez has been cast as Mary Wardell, Sabrina’s favorite teacher at Baxter High. In the Chilling Adventures comic, Madam Satan was a jilted ex-lover of Sabrina’s father who disguised herself as a teacher in order to get closer to the teenage witch. But in the series, it looks like Madam Satan will be possessing the hapless teacher and mentor, and she’ll work to lure Sabrina to the side of evil.

Netflix has also announced that newcomer Chance Perdomo will be playing Sabrina’s cousin, Ambrose Spellman. He’s a warlock and necromancer from England who’s forced to live in the Spellman attic after the Witches Council placed him under house arrest. Ambrose is said to be Sabrina’s partner in crime and will be portrayed as pansexual.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is a gritty origin story for the teenage witch that blends horror, witchcraft, and the occult. Think less “Help I’m addicted to pancakes” and more “My aunts are marrying me to the devil.” Gomez and Perdomo join Kiernan Shipka, who plays Sabrina, Jaz Sinclair, Sabrina’s best friend Rosalind... and of course Salem the cat. The series, which is still untitled, has already been picked up for two 10-episode seasons. It’s set to come out sometime in 2018.
