The kind of heads-up display found in jet fighter cockpits have been adapted to motorcycle helmets. Motion Research is selling a special display called the Sportvue which attaches to helmets and lets motorcyclists see their speed, R.P.M., and gear position right in front of them as if it were floating in the air. There is also going to be a version for bicyclists that displays their speed, distance traveled, and heart rate.
