Yesterday, husband, surfer, and Gizmodo reader Daniel Bobis went missing off the coast of Sumatra. His family is trying to organize a search team, but without a crucial helicopter looking overhead, their chances will be slight. Let’s help them out.

The Bobis family is asking that you contact the US embassy in Indonesia to ask for helicopter help. Your contact could be what pushes the government into providing aerial support—and finding Daniel before it’s too late. Embassy contact can be found below:
