Everyone has a story they love to tell again and again, and Brave’s King Fergus has a doozy. In this new clip, he tells the story about the demon bear who took his leg, although one of his children delights in spoiling his storytelling fun.
This clip was actually in the 30 minutes Pixar showed to the press a few weeks ago, and this little snippet doesn’t do the scene justice. The family meal that follows contains so much texture and reveals so much about Merida’s family beyond the tension of the strict mother and freewheeling daughter. But it does offer some clues about the bear, who appears to be a significant figure in the film. Plus, we get a look at Merida’s triplet brothers, who are great troublemaking fun.
