Making Star Wars has a new report about the scenes shot at Skellig Michael—which stands in for Ahch-to, the planet Rey and Luke are on at the climax of The Force Awakens. It is, weirdly enough, mainly about the Puffins that call Skellig Michael home, who will appear in a modified, Star Wars-y form as creatures in the film that Luke looks after as “protector of the island(s) on Ahch-To.”
But interestingly, the report also mentions that Luke has a connection to the animals on the island that Rey doesn’t—who shun her as she has no “right” to be there. Part of her training with Luke will apparently see Rey battle a gigantic sea creature, defeating which earns her approval to be on the sacred islands from Luke’s Space-Puffin friends.

Executive Producer Michael Schur discusses why the show’s first season is just 13 episodes long:
When I pitched the show to NBC, I felt pretty strongly it was kind of a big swing, and everything was gonna be really heavily serialized. It just felt like it made sense to keep that to a shorter season. And they very kindly and reasonably agreed with that.
Marc Guggenheim tells Coming Soon about some plans for the show beyond its initial season.
CS: Is there a future for “Trollhunters” already planned past the first season?
Marc Guggenheim: As with all things, it has to be a success in order to contemplate the future. That said, we’re feeling pretty bullish about the series and we have some plans. Some of them are short term and some are long term. All of them are things that remain — I wouldn’t say “closely-guarded secret,” but stuff that we’re not quite ready to announce yet. I think that our focus right now is getting those 23 episodes out into the world and, hopefully, people react to them the way we hope and expect them to. This is a weird show. This is one of those rare animated projects that the whole family can watch together. The production value is game-changing. We’re really trying to push the limits of what people should expect from computer animation on a serialized show. It started off as a feature film and all the development was done as a feature film. I think that really shows up on screen now. We basically traded features for series, but we never lost our feature roots. I think that, if we’re successful, it will feel like a really long movie instead of individual TV episodes.
