I'm most impressed by the pointer icon on the screen. I thought it would be difficult to implement on a system that was never intended to show off a pointer. They put the P back in W.I.M.P.! I think further external controls will only help the device. They have a nice touch screen but there are drawbacks. People's big fat fingers get in the way off all the cool stuff going on.
Is it that Apple has made such a good system, with the iPhone OS devices, that they've hobbled the aftermarket dock market as to not cannibalize their own computer lines? Do they feel that they are now just completing the smooth evolution from ipod to MBP with the upcoming tablet? When they decide to really open it up to BT and USB, then they'll be serious about it being a core computer in your pocket. Could it be that they are leaving the bluetooth bed cold because they are working on their own wireless (or wired?) protocol to try and use to take over the world?
