New 1GB MP3 player from iRiver that uses Flash memory rather than a hard drive for storage. The iFP-599T also has a built-in FM tuner and recorder, digital voice recorder, armband strap (for using it during exercise), and a battery life of up to 28 hours. The advantage, of course, of having a player with Flash memory rather than a hard drive is that there are no moving parts that can be damaged when you’re jogging or working out. You’ll have to pay for that privilege, however, as the iFP-99T retails for $450, or almost as much as a 40GB iPod.
