Bloody Disgusting is reporting that The Hurt Locker’s Renner is in very early talks for the role of the one-eyed antihero Plissken. The new film, which is shadowing the original’s plot to some extent, follows the actions of one soldier turned criminal, Plissken, after Air Force One (with the president aboard) crash lands inside the giant futuristic prison world where Plissken has been banished.
BD is also reporting that the negotiations are far from over, but still. Can you imagine a Renner-esque Plissken?
