Here we have it: a strong early contender for 2015’s guiltiest pleasure. Jackie Chan, John Cusack, Adrien Brody and Peng Lin star in Dragon Blade, an alt-history in which Rome fights Han Dynasty China for control over the Silk Road. You’ve never seen Brody chewing scenery like this before.
According to Slashfilm, this is the most expensive Chinese-language movie of all time — although it looks as though Cusack and Brody will be spitting out their insane dialogue in English, judging from the trailer. What crime did he commit? I’ll tell you what crime! He stole the place in your heart that belongs to me!!!!
Dragon Blade comes out in February 2015 in China, but sadly has no U.S. release date yet.
