Up until now, pretty much everyone has assumed that Apple would be coming out with some sort to movie store to accompany the launch of its next generation iPod. It seems that Lions Gate Films, which was responsible for popular films like Crash and Dogma, recently admitted to the existence of an iTunes Movie Store. The movie house’s CEO let slip that they “have digital delivery deals in place with Cinema Now, MovieLink, and iTunes” and that he thinks it will launch “most likely some time before the end of the year.” Wait, I think I hear Steve Jobs firing people right now.

If our spies are correct, the next generation iPod should be available this November, complete with the much-ballyhooed touch screen.
