Next time you consider breaking out the high explosives to open one of those impenetrable plastic clamshell packages, use the Klever Kutter instead. Even though it's packing ultra-sharp razor blades, there are no exposed cutting surfaces and it's guaranteed not to cut you or that valuable gadgetry/snack food on the other side of that bulletproof plastic shit in which it's entombed. Not a bad deal for less than two bucks.

DISCUSSION

we have these at work. we got them after too many box cutter related injuries. A few things:

1. There is no exposed cutting surface. But those little pointy corners can still stab you.

2. They cut pretty well once they've actually started cutting. The hard part is getting that little plastic corner to dig into whatever you're cutting. Referring mostly to tape on boxes. They slice up boxes like they're nothing though

3. I haven't tried it, but I'm pretty sure these will not cut those "impregnable" plastic shells since the cutter only cuts as well as how hard you physically pull it. So you'd have to be putting a lot of effort in.

These remind me of those rounded plastic safety scissors you'd give to a preschooler. If you can't avoid cutting yourself with a normal box cutter you should just avoid opening packages altogether.
