Latest Star Trek Into Darkness trailer promises an intense battle of wills

Up till now, Star Trek Into Darkness has promised us lots of destruction and mayhem, but this new trailer promises us something different: a Kirk who's on a tear, and a villain who's genuinely affronted by Kirk's actions.

This latest trailer has done what the other STiD trailers didn't quite pull off: provide the sense that this movie will have real conflict, beyond the "terrorist wreaks havoc" stuff. Benedict Cumberbatch lays waste to London and then attacks a fancy Starfleet meeting, and Kirk goes off half-cocked in response. And that's when the interesting stuff really begins. We hope. At the very least, this makes Kirk a protagonist, and that's a promising development. Oh, and apparently "John Harrison" was one of Starfleet's top agents, before he went bad. Maybe he worked for Section 31? [Apple Trailers]

Dr. Fortyseven

WOW. Like I said on Twitter, this version of the trailer gave me serious chills, and might actually give Wrath of Khan a run for it's money. I get the feeling they created their own Khan-worthy bad ass instead of simply rebooting him. Super bloody excited for this — and I was already psyched. :)
