Valerian sounds like it’s going to be just a crazy delight of a film. It’s about two agents from the 28th century who travel through time and space protecting the human race. That just sounds cool, and with Besson at the helm, it should also look great.
As you can see from the picture Besson shared on Twitter, the movie stars Dane DeHaan as Valérian and Cara Delevingne as Laureline. Why those names? Because it’s the future. (Edited: I’m an idiot. It’s Besson in the picture.)
I will admit to be kind of in love with how bananas this is going to be. Technically, the name of this movie is Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, which has a pulp-y feel that really comes across in the image. Just look at Delevingne’s boob armor!
