Man of Steel poster imprisons Superman in handcuffs and lens flare

The latest Man of Steel poster is out, showing a handcuffed Superman. Why is Superman (Henry Cavill) in trouble? Why doesn’t he just break out? WHY IS THERE LENS FLARE ON A MOVIE POSTER?

We’ll have to wait until the new trailer hits (sometime this month) for answers from director Zack Snyder. Man of Steel will come out on June 14th, 2013.
