Back in March, Maze Runner star Dylan O’Brien was seriously injured while performing a stunt for the next installment of the series, The Death Cure, delaying the film. While they wait for him to recover, Fox has announced that the film’s release will be moved to January 12th, 2018.

Due to the severity of O’Brien’s injuries, the production has been halted until he can fully heal. There was no word on when production will resume accompanying this announcement, which came along with a number of other films as Fox shifted its schedule around.

Maze Runner: The Death Cure was originally supposed to be released on February 17th, 2017. It’s been replaced in the schedule by A Cure For Wellness.
