Vitals: Meet Gamera, a giant flying turtle who loves children and is one of the most famous kaiju in the giant monster pantheon. Also, he has really awesome fights with other monsters.

Spinoffs/Sequels/Copycats: Gamera spawned a series of sequels that pitted the big turtle against a series of mean monsters, establishing him as a “good guy.” In the late 1990s, Gamera returned to the big screen after a hiatus of over a decade and was a bit less friendly.
Life lesson: Don’t worry! A giant turtle will save you!
