I was paging through the winners of this year’s “Good Design Mark” award, and I happened upon this unannounced Panasonic MP3/WMA player. Since it hasn’t been announced by Panasonic yet, details are slim about the “SV-MP500V” and “SV-MP510V.” But we do know that they will be available in 128MB and 256MB capacity, and have a good design. Because they wouldn’t win a design award if they didn’t, right? Right? From the winner’s page, I have also extrapolated that this is a multi-format (MP3 and WMA) player, it contains an FM tuner, and functions as a voice recorder. As the release date is listed as “November 2004” on the same page, I expect to see an official announcement from Panasonic within the next week or so.
One more arguably better pic after the jump.
Since having a post that contains “audio player” and not “iPod” is a Federal offense, I’ll also mention that the iPod mini received a “Good Design Mark” award. It is not, however, nominated for the grand prize – the above mentioned Panasonic player is.
