Skinny LCD and plasma TVs are all the rage, but DesignTechnica has some information on a new 55-inch high-definition television from Philips, the Cineos 55PL9773, which isn’t quite as thin as a flat-panel display, but at just over 17 inches deep is considerably smaller than most rear-projection TVs.
