Nokia announced the 7700, their first Series 90 cellphone, today in Nice. At first glance the phone, with its wedge-shaped design, reminds us of the N-Gage, but the 7700 is designed for a lot more than playing games. The 7700 has a large, 640×320 resolution, 65,000 color touchscreen which can be used for watching video and surfing the web, built-in Bluetooth, a VGA-quality digital camera, 64MB of RAM, and an integrated FM tuner. Nokia will also offer an attachment called the Nokia Streamer which will let the 7700 receive special digital TV broadcasts. Expect to hear a lot about this in the coming days and weeks.
