Nothing’s cheaper offshoot, CMF, is back at it again with another pair of wireless earbuds, and this time it’s got… MacBook branding? On social media, CMF officially announced the “Buds Neo,” which, as you may have noticed, bears a similar title to the MacBook Neo, a product that is decidedly not made by CMF. The Buds Neo are apparently coming on Aug. 20.
There is, as is often the case with Nothing and CMF’s incremental leaks, not a lot of detail yet, but CMF has provided some clues about what to expect here. For one, we have a solid glimpse at what the wireless earbuds actually look like.

At first glance, the Neo look like just another pair of wireless earbuds, but the shape is interesting. I’m hoping that this is some kind of clip-style pair of wireless earbuds that you can also wear in-ear, similar to the Soundcore AeroFit 2 Pro, but there’s a chance that they might just be another pair of wireless earbuds. Maybe they’re an upgraded version of its previous CMF Buds Pro 2?
Whatever the Buds Neo are, there are going to be some fun colors, or at least fun colors on the case. I love the two-tone light blue and dark blue as well as the orange-and-white combination. Here’s to hoping that the volume wheel is functional.

It’s unclear where the new buds will be available for purchase. Nothing’s Co-Founder and President, India, Akis Evangelidis, posted on X that the wireless earbuds are “coming to India,” which doesn’t necessarily mean that they won’t be arriving anywhere else, but it also doesn’t confirm that they’ll be available globally. For now, all we have confirmed is India, and there’s a chance it could stay that way.
The good news is, if you’re really itching for a new pair of CMF wireless earbuds, the company just launched the Clip Pro, which is an affordable pair of clip-style open earbuds that acquits itself well, especially for a $99 price tag.
