Well, hello! We knew it was coming, but it looks like an official Twitter app is now available in the Android Marketplace. It’s free and looks fantastic:

There’s a homescreen widget, tweets can be viewed on a map or in your phonebook (the app syncs with your contacts), and more. Unfortunately the app is limited to devices running Android 2.1 and above. [Twitter]
