Owners of the new HTC One (M8), the HTC One Max and Desire 816 now qualify for 100GB of Google Drive storage. Some older models will get a 25GB chunk of server when upgrading to Sense 5+ and Sense 6 too.

Personally speaking, how is the HTC One M8? From the specs it looks great, but I haven't gotten my hands on one yet. My phone is in dire need of an upgrade, but as I can't afford a new one, I'm waiting for Black Friday sales. Is the M8 worth upgrading to?

Fore reference, I'm currently using a Kyocera Event running Android 4.0.4, no ability to upgrade the OS, and with less than 2GB of internal storage (and no way to put apps on external storage). But it's balanced by the fact that it's off-contract, cost $80, and only $35/month on Virgin. So what I'm asking is: is the HTC One M8 better enough from my current crappy phone to offset the higher costs?
