In an encouraging sign that the first PDAs running on the forthcoming Palm OS 6 will ship on time, PalmSource sent copies of the operating system to manufacturers last month, as has been promised. Palm OS 6 is expected to offer a whole bunch of improvements over earlier versions of the operating system, like support for faster processors, true multitasking, and seamless roaming on different types of wireless networks.
