A collection of knives, needles and scissors make up the snakelike machines from our future. Check out the first concept art of the mechanical beasties that did what Skynet never could: wiped out the human race.

Dread Central as has a closer look at the frightening creature from our post apocalyptic future. This is one of the many dangerous creatures that's left on our charred planet after the humans cease to be. According to the site:

[Director Shane Acker] was inspired by the mythological Medusa in his creation of this serpentine hunter. Fashioned with a doll's head, grasping prehensile arms, an intricate thread-spool mechanism, and hypnotic eyes, the Seamstress lures her prey out of hiding and stuns them into submission before sewing them up within herself.

The film follows a little sewn-up ragdoll hero, created by one of the last remaining humans on Earth, as he is tasked with preserving life on the planet. His only help: the other tiny rag-doll creations. Together they journey over the deserted planet, trying to figure out what that caused all the creepy machines (like the Seamstress) to turn on their human masters.

To see more Seamstress concept art check out Dread Central and make sure to witness the beast in action for yourself. 9 will be in theaters on September 9th.
