Details are sketchy at this point, but this PixelShade lets you create digital patterns and then it projects them on the inside of its cylindrical shape. The phosphorescent lamp shade can display images, text, or anything else on its surface, and it’s easily modified, too.
The lampshade was shown at a design exposition in Milan in a hanging style as well as the one perched atop the floor stand that you see here. This is certainly one lampshade you won’t be wearing on your head— from what we can see, it appears there is a spinning projection device on the inside.
