Please Make This Show About Time-Traveling Crime-Fighters Happen, People!

Seriously, we need this new time-travel cop show (called Time) to be on television now. Or maybe a year or two ago, if the creators of the show have an actual time machine. The series is described as “Mission Impossible meets Back to the Future,” and it’s from two of our favorite creators.

Time is the brainchild of Eric Kripke (Supernatural) and Shawn Ryan (The Shield)—and you know that if Kripke gets to make the show, he’ll bring Ben Edlund (The Tick!) on board as a writer. Obviously, Kripke stumbled a bit with the gloomy Revolution, but fun, action-adventure storytelling is where he shines—so this could be the perfect vehicle for him.

It’s described as a show about “an unlikely trio traveling through time to battle unknown criminals in order to protect history as we know it.” The show, which is described as “high-octane” and adventure-oriented, already has a pilot commitment at NBC—so fingers crossed!

And yes, it sounds a bit like Time Trax, but with the cops visiting multiple eras. So maybe it’s more like Time Cop. Nothing about this sounds bad at all.
