Election mania is sweeping the U.S., and not even fictitious politicians can escape the vicious cycle of attack ads.
The short skit comes from this week’s episode of The Star Wars Show, which is weirdly proving itself a great source of Star Wars info. This video, however, is just goofy fun, tying in with the recently released novel Star Wars: Bloodline, which sees Leia come under attack by factions in the New Republic senate during the elections for the role of “First Senator.”

It’s perfect pastiche, skewering Leia for not really being a Princess (unless you know her true parentage, that is!), marrying a known criminal, and even a bit of speciesism. Oh dear. What is Leia Organa really hiding?
