Since flying Wiimotes are breaking TVs both here and in Japan now, here's a flickr guide to protect your $2000 investment from your $250 investment.

Simple, cheap solution. Make a rubber 'sleeve' for the wiimote. If it's textured, it would cut down on the slipperyness of the plastic when the gamer sweats.

If you got ambitious, you could even mold finger groves into the rubber for added 'gripability'.

Honestly, I'm supprised Nintendo, or a 3rd party havent come out with one yet.

As for the lanyard, the string holding the lanyard to the wiimote just needs to be a heavier guage. with the rubber grip on the wiimote, people will be tossing the wiimote less, and you won't need solid-steel-type chains on the lanyard.
