Batman and Robin have been through dozens of strange scenarios, but few compare to the time the Boy Wonder ambushed the Cape Crusader for some Eastern Promises-style fisticuffs. Such a scene went down in 1983’s Batman #356. I’m particularly fond of the final panel, where it’s sort of unclear if Bruce Wayne is addressing Robin by his real name, insulting him, or impassively staring up his green Underoos.

Of course, we would later discover that this Robin was one of Hugo Strange’s mandroids, which is nonetheless a-okay, as “mandroid” is the finest of the portmanteaus.
