ExtremeTech review of the Dimension 4600C Media Center PC, Dell’s new desktop PC running the new 2004 of Windows XP Media Center, Microsoft’s new version of the Windows operating system which is designed for recording television like a TiVo, organizing and playing your MP3 collection, looking at your digital photo album, etc. Interestingly enough, the 4600C also has Dell’s “Media Experience” software installed on it which does almost the same thing, with the main difference between the two types of media software being that the Dell Media Experience doesn’t handle digital video recording.
