Steve’s Digicams review of Sony’s new eight megapixel digital camera, the Cybershot DSC-F828, which has a 7x Carl Zeiss optical zoom lens:
The F828 is one of the best feeling digicams that I’ve held in quite some time, the build quality of this camera is awesome. Sony set a high standard with the F717, and the F828 has raised those standards even higher… While the $999 price tag may seem a bit steep, the Sony DSC-F828 is a lot of camera. With its excellent build quality, manually-operated Carl Zeiss 7x zoom lens, robust shooting performance, excellent image quality, superior low-light performance and rich feature set, the F828 is sure to please. And with its high resolution 8-megapixel imager, there’s no need to be concerned about obsolescence any time soon.
The F828 is also the first Cybershot camera from Sony to have slots for both CompactFlash Type II and Memory Stick Pro memory cards.
